This beautiful wall sculpture is hand carved from 2" extruded foam board, and coated with layers of plaster, fine sanded and coated multiple times with liquorice toned ultra matte paint. It is finished off with a matte sealant.
“Fitting in I” is a study on shadow cast, that continuously changes throughout the day depending on how light hits it.
The first piece in the series, it is a visual depiction of the human need of assimilation and wanting to "Fit In".
